Day 23: 10 pm Feeding

They know it's coming.

Food? The puppies are moving around so much it is getting increasingly difficult to get good shots of them.

Lucy gets first dibs. She's a sweetie - has a serious expression and sits and watches Nathan clean the pen. Evey is second - she play-bowed to Nate today and briefly wrestled for a toy.

First Shift - Lucy, Evey, Strider, Vader, and Padme. 

Second Shift: Arwen, Reuben, Thorin, and Hermione.

After.

We are currently weighing the puppies 2-3 times per week. They were last weighed on Day 20. Today was Day 23. Weights and notes as follows:

Reuben (Brown Boy): 6 lbs 5 oz (up 13 oz) - Spoken for

Lucy (Red Girl): 5 lb 10 oz (up 13 oz) - Solemn expression, sits & watches Nathan clean pen

Padme (Purple Girl): 5 lb 7 oz (up 12 oz) - Quick to catch onto the idea of food

Vader (Green Boy): 6 lb 3 oz (up 10 oz) - Sam all over

Strider (Blue Boy): 5 lb 12 oz (up 13 oz) - Sound sleeper, very relaxed. Likes to sleep on his back

Evey (Yellow Girl): 5 lb 14 oz (up 1 lb 3 oz) - Play-bowed today (first of the puppies to do so) and wrestled over a toy with Nate

Thorin (Orange Boy): 5 lb 7 oz (up 14 oz) - Always gets something on him - pee, poo, food, milk. Likes to suckle. ;)

Arwen (Pink Girl): 5 lb 6 or 8 oz - kept squirming (up 10 or 12 oz) - Excited about everything (and by everything, I mean mostly food)

Hermione (Brown Girl): 5 lb 3 oz (up 11 oz) - Chill. Even if all of the puppies are up, she will sleep right through it. Quite enthusiastic during mealtimes, though.

Sam met the puppies (on-leash and through the fence). He was quite chill, but clearly interested in their antics. Kia met them too, for the first time since Day 5, and was a little shy and uncertain. Maybe they will meet the cats this weekend?
